After publications went viral about Highlife legend cum GRAMRO Chairman, Rex Omar’s intention to sue Zylofon Music and Obibini Boafo for using his lyrics “Dea Ne Me” on Obinini’s latest song, “Gogo Woho”.

The legal representatives of Rex Omar, Poko Adusei & Associates issued a 10-day ultimatum for Zylofon Music to reach out or get sued. Information reaching us at Beenie Words states clearly that the issues between both party have been resolved through a fruitful meeting between the officials of Zylofon Musoc and management of Rex Omar.

Rex Omar made known his motives at the meeting as he assures the label of mentorship assistance and submit himself to educate the artiste and officials on copyright related issues.

The issue of copyright has always been a problem and this are steps to curb them, either people get their due credit or fund for using their content or you get dragged to the court to pay what they are due.

The officials of Zylofon Music assured Rex Omar that there wouldn’t be any future occurrences of copyright infringements and they are always at their best in working professionally. They also embraced the idea of mentorship to aide the growth of their artistes on the label.
