Oluwaseun Ayodeji Osowobi has been putting in the work and we couldn’t be prouder that she is getting the recognition she deserves.

Oluwaseun who founded Stand To End Rape Initiative, a non-profit organisation geared at providing support and advocacy for sexual violence survivors in Nigeria was honoured with the award for the work she has done with the organisation.

The 28-year-old was presented the award as well as a 5,000 Euros cash prize by the Secretary-General of Commonwealth, Patricia Scotland at an event which took place at Marlborough House, the Commonwealth Secretariat’s London headquarters.

Oluwaseun who is a survivor of sexual violence herself, has through the S.T.E.R. Initiative, continued to provide support to women, men and young people who have experienced any form of gender-based abuse.

The night also saw her win the Commonwealth Youth Award for Africa and Europe Regions.
