As one of the biggest contributors to the work force both in the formal and
informal sectors, the Creative Arts industry in Ghana has immerse potential that
has largely gone untapped.

Inspired by a vision of empowering and enhancing the African Creative Arts
Industry through the provision of top-notch professional business and legal
advisory services, Africa 1 Media together with IManage Africa and in partnership with Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture held the maiden Creative Entrepreneur Masterclass Series.

The Creative Entrepreneur Masterclass with Godwin Tom, held in Accra at the
Africa Regent Hotel, supported by The Ghana Tourism Development Company,
Community Change Inc, USA and GhudMusic was designed to empower and
educate both aspiring and established talents, their teams and other music
industry players on how to bridge the gap between the arts and entrepreneurship.

The CEO of Imanage Africa, Godwin Tom, with almost 10 years practical experience in talent management, Marketing, Public Relations, Branding and Publishing, having worked with the likes of M.I. Wizkid, Ice Prince, Wande Coal and many others, admonished talent managers to build brands and careers, as the role of a talent manager is a profession and thus approached as such.

Speaking as a panelist for the event, the founder of Africa 1 Media and Managing
Partner at CQ Legal and Consulting, Ms. Cynthia Quarcoo reiterated the need for
creatives to read and understand the contracts they sign, as it is imperative to the building of their careers.

Together with a star studded panel of the crème de la creme of the Creative Arts
industry in Ghana made up, Panji Anoff, (CEO Pidgen Music), Richie Mensah
(CEO, LynxGhana), Rab Bakari (President, MixerPot LLC), Freeman Daniel (Coach Freeman, Voice Coach) and Andy Dosty (Ace DJ), the interactive masterclass enlightened participants through various sessions on Talent and His Team, the New Role of Managers, Media & Digital Content Marketing and Music & the Law, where panelists stressed the need for creative and their management teams to instill a sense of professionalism and develop the right mental attitude towards arts to ensure its growth.
