Last Sunday on the Nigerian Idol stage was magical with a special tribute to late Afrobeat king Fela from your favorite top 6 contestants.

Your faves didn’t only give us a night to remember with their performances, but they dazzled and slayed each look from top to bottom.

This week, they were styled by celebrity stylist, Rhoda Edun. Check out their fab afrobeat-inspired looks below!

Akunna

This week, Akunna dazzled in a yellow Ankara corset jumpsuit which was slashed on one side to create a frills effect. She paired it with a beautiful gold Afro and traditional beads to give her that complete Mama Africa look. Akunna sure looked good, and we can’t wait to see what she pulls out next Sunday.

Kingdom

Kingdom channeled his inner Fela in a red cropped flared pants paired with a buttoned-down vintage red print shirt. He accessorized with traditional beads on his hands and neck and wore a face painting to compliment his look.

Comfort

The curvy singer stepped out looking like an absolute snack in her purple Ankara corset ball dress which had frills layered around it. She paired this with matching Ankara gladiator anklets and had her hair in afro pigtails. She was such a delight to watch last week, and we hope to see what she rocks in the coming week.

Faith Jason

Looking like a sexy village headmaster from the ’80s, Faith paired his jumpy yellow flare pants with a silk print top, finishing off with a pair of white shoes and a big black African pendant on his neck. Fela would be proud!

Francis

One thing about Francis is that he always understands the assignment. In terms of his performance and looks. He wore a baggie purple and yellow shirt with trousers, which he paired with white shoes. The details of his outfit made him stand out in a good way.

Emmanuel

Emmanuel has mastered the art of looking cute in anything. For his performance, he wore a green monkey jacket over a green checkered undershirt and green high waist pants. Like his peers, he also wore a face painting to finish off the afro look.
