As music is for the ears, so is food for the stomach; The beautiful delegates participating in this year’s Malaika pageant undertook a special yet interesting task dubbed ‘the cookout episode’  that was staged at the British Council off lawn at Ridge in  Accra.

Mystery baskets containing assorted ingredients were offered to the delegates to come out with creative cooking ideas and recipes that are out of the ordinary.

As they were paired, the delegates worked together exceptionally well, regardless of which team member they were paired with. Indeed, they displayed their unique culinary skills and by the end of the cookout session two ladies came out as winners.

Interestingly, Pearl and Vanessa came out as the best cooks for the day. Out of the Mystery basket they selected, these two ladies prepared their own creative delicacy; Rose at the center vegetable rice, Rose Island Chicken sauce, Trickster beans with Kelewele. As yummy as the food tasted, the judges had no choice but to score them the highest marks above all other delegates.

The Cookout session was one of the best tasks that challenged the delegates; to test their creativity, Teamwork, and tenacity. In the subsequent episode, delegates will treat their fans to their rich cultural experiences in the cultural episode to air on Sunday at 1: pm on Joy Prime and 7 pm on GhOne TV.

The cookout session was sponsored by Frytol oil, Fortune Rice and Produced by Charterhouse.

Voting is still ongoing with the shortcode 1757 across all local networks prefixed with the name of your favorite delegate.
