Realising there is no Ghanaian professional recording studio in Bronx (New York, USA), US based Ghanaian reggae artist John Quansah popularly known as John Q has just finished building a state of the art studio in a commercial area in Bronx New York City. He invested in the area due to the struggles many singers or artists go through with recording music and dealing with producers. Upon realisation, he felt it will be in the best of his interest to open up his own recording studio. So that Ghanaians in New York and Ghanaian musicians visiting can go and record. In fact, 3 weeks ago A&R of Zylofon Media, Bull Dog went to record a song with Zylofon signed artist Kumi Guitar at the studio.

Talking of upcoming projects, John Q has decided to dedicate more time in writing more music . In short, he is currently writing more songs and managing the recording studio. He happens to be one of the lead singers and managers of the Dynamic Afro beat band and the Unity Afro beat band in the Bronx.

More than ever he is spending more time in writing heavy weight songs. Anyone can write a song but a heavy weight song comes from deep meditation and prayers from God.  He is the first Ghanaian musician who also seeks to bridge the gap between African Americans, Afro Caribbean and Africans. Most of the artistes recording in his studio are young African American rappers and they appreciate the fact that a Ghanaian has opened a community based business to hasten the process of making great musicians. He also opened a tech repair and sales shop in the same location as the studio.

John seeks to merge music with technology just as Steve Jobs did for Apple computers. His recording studio has great sound engineers from different ethnic backgrounds and great technicians. Hence he has dedicated part of his energy in helping create good musicians as an old Rev. John Teye student. He also urged his sound engineers to give them music production lessons, guitar and piano lessons on the site. He is still on the mission to spread the message of Ghana music world wide. Name of the studio is 7 Notes Recording Studio and it is located in the Bronx on Whiteplains road.

He deserve more accolades because angel investors like his type are not common.
