Budding Ghanaian artiste Derrick Nii Aryee Quaye known in showbiz as Derrick Logan has told industry players to pay more attention to musicians especially.
According to the young artiste, though the Ghanaian music industry has a very vibrant and popular music scene that has come to opened the country’s gate for both tourism and business investment, but most of the musicians do not find these reflecting in their pockets due to some acts of gate keepers.
In an interview with the young artiste, he said, “there is a clear infrastructure problem that makes revenue streams quite narrow so people are not making money from making music. “
He added that , “Royalties for musicians are not encouraging thus making artiste to either quite music or not give music a 100%”
The versatile Derrick Logan, who plays the piano and other musical instruments started music professionally in 2016 with the song ‘Listen to Your Heart,’ he has his latest song dubbed ‘Real Lit’ which is an Afropop featuring an Artist called Willy.
Derrick said he is set to serve music lover good music with another tune yet to be released.
He is an Afropop, R&B, Rap and Solo artiste, who’s music is inspired by real life stories
Which are sung in English language and his local dialect.
