He is best known as the music promoter, that is part of the success story of artists such as Iyanya and more recently Tekno, but Ubi Franklin’s latest project is set to change the way Nigerians do laundry one phone at a time!

His company recently launched an innovative new app, Instant Pickup in Lagos, Nigeria. Instant PickUp is a mobile-based technology that connects users to the best laundries close to them, allowing them to access affordable premium services by placing orders, tracking their laundries and enjoy quick deliveries to their doorsteps.

Enabled for laundry schedules, users can select dates to pick up items, monitor activities on their orders, receive them within 24 hours and make payments through the app mobile wallet. The application is a free-to-download app and is available for Android on Google Play Store and the Apple App Store for iPhone.

When asked about the motivation behind the Instant Pickup app, the company’s CEO Ubi Franklin had this to say; “We live in a contemporary age where the fast-paced lifestyle of the metropolis barely gives us the luxury of time to attend to some of our domestic needs, hence, we contrived a user-friendly platform that would help thousands ease the burden that comes with having to look elegant and dapper every day.

With the app, customers can reach us at any time and request for our immaculate services. Not only will we be at your doorstep to pick up your dirty laundry, but also deliver them to you within a short space of time!”

The app will next be launched in Abuja sometime in August, and from my Interactions with Mr. Franklin, there are plans to come to Ghana very soon.

The launch of Instant Pickup was hosted by Frank Edoho, and was attended by guests such as Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Timi Dakolo, AY Makun, Noble Igwe, Gbenga Adeyinka 1st, Tosin Martins and others.

Timi Dakolo also treated the audience to his captivating soul music at the launch.

Brand ambassadors like Annie Idibia, Damilola Attoh, Tboss, Gbenro Ajibade, Ushbebe, The Senator were also unveiled at the event.
