The weekend was full of news and speculations of big moves and exits in the Ghanaian media industry.

Kojo Appiah Quainoo left Radio XYZ, as the lead producer for the station’s flagship show, Morning Express. According to inside sources, he was forced to tender his resignation after the Stations Morning Show host Prince Minkah left the previous week.

Kojo joined the East Legon-based station from Class 91.9 FM, where he was the lead producer for the Executive Breakfast Show.

According to Enewsgh sources, staff of the station are not happy with certain management decisions, thus  resulting in the rapid succession of resignations. Quainoo joins the likes of former Tigo Marketing Manager Jesse Agyepong,  Elvis Crystal, and others who left the station for similar reasons.

Entertainment writer, critic and communications practitioner, Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo hinted on Facebook that accomplished radio and TV personality, Anita Erskine has resigned from the EIB Group, and added that he would give details soon on his website.

Meanwhile Arnold was the subject of some speculations also, when news about his appointment as the new PR executive for Zylofon Media spread like wildfire on social media. He however wrote a statement to debunk the speculations on Facebook. He wrote:

“I realized the inundation of tags and posts on a move to Zylofon Media. I sensed the excitement, encouragement, sarcasm and hate as people endorsed, mulled and questioned a possible move to the firm.

Zylofon Media is doing something positive and any positive-thinking fellow would love to join such a winning team but truth is; I have NOT been contracted by the firm. Presently, I am still the PR for Miss Ghana (Yeah, I am still in there).

This hardworking dude, Samuel Atuobi Baah, is still the PR/Communication Head for Zylofon. Big ups to him and all the guys working at the firm, who have worked tirelessly to elevate the brand in such a short span.

Once again, I am NOT the PR for Zylofon, however, if any opportunity should come my way, to assume a meaningful role at the organization – I won’t dawdle in grabbing it.

Thank you for the love!”
